of time with his father, Tom Donatti, also from New Smyrna Beach. He is an
only child and enjoys all the things that a twelve year old does. Tish,
Zack’s mom, is a Judicial Assistant at the Volusia County Clerk’s Office and
has supported him throughout his racing career. Tom, his dad, is the key to
his racing effort. He works as a contractor and owns his own construction
and roofing business. In addition to his loving parents, he is supported
just as much from his grandparents on both sides. You will very rarely see
Zack race where his whole family is not in attendance. Currently, Zack
attends school at Creekside Middle School. He is a grade A student and has many
friends. |

How did Zack become involved in racing?
Zack has been interested in some form of racing most of his life. Like his
parents, Zack is very competitive and does his best at everything he does. Zack
began racing Quarter Midgets in 2001 and excelled quickly. In his first year he
finished 3rd overall in points and has been hooked since.
What is your favorite race track and why?
Zack loves to race anywhere. But, his favorite track is currently the New
Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. And he can not wait to race at
Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida.
What do you like to do for fun when you are not racing?
In addition to racing Quarter Midgets, Zack also spends his time racing horses.
He has made quite a name for himself in this sport as well. He and his mother
both are involved in competitions across Florida and Georgia. Zack is currently
ranked second in the World in the National Barrel Horse Racing Association.
What is your most memorable moment?
Winning the 2006 Quarter Midget Grand National Championship at the Western
Grands in Kansas.
What is your next big challenge in Quarter Midgets.
My next challenge is the year-end Tangerine Bowl.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Becoming the youngest driver to win a Winston cup race.
