What a year we had at Zack Donatti Racing. There were plenty of ups and downs throughout the season! We started and ended our point's championship with a wrecked race car. But the ZDR team kept their heads up and nose to the grind stone and finished the 2010 race season with a Champion on the team! Congratulations Zack on your Championship! This is Zack's second full year of racing Limited Late Models. Last year Zack finished 2nd to a close friend and respected veteran Alan Bruns. The ZDR team would like to thank Alan Bruns, Chuck Green and his entire race team for their support, without your help Zack would not have finished on top! Thank You!

We want to thank Jerry and Lyncia Symons, Tommy and Billy Symons, Sonny and Coach Barnes thanks for your help! And the entire race team. My Family who showed up every race night and supported me through good and bad, Pop, Nan, Meme, Dorlisa, Val and all of you I have not mentioned.

We also want to thank Carlos Lira of Gary Yeoman's Ford and Ford Racing for their support! They have given Zack, at the age of 16, many opportunities because he has shown a lot of talent and determination to succeed in this sport. Carlos, personally shows unwavered support for Zack. He took him to the Homestead Speedway and gave him a chance to drive one of his Ford GT Mustangs. Zack proved his desire to race anything that has 4 wheels and a motor and demanded the attention of many other drivers and the officials when he drove to a 3rd place finish at his first Road Course Challenge!

We would also like to thank Rich Clouser and the entire Late Model field. The close competition only makes Zack a better driver. Also thank you to Kim and the crew at New Smyrna Speedway.

October 2010 New Smyrna Speedway

The ZDR crew prepared my late model for practice early Saturday morning to shake it down for the nights feature race. After starting practice the motor started to sound a little rough and than broke a rod. This was the only late model motor the ZDR team had. With the points battle for 1st being so close and only 3 races left! The ZDR crew called Alan Bruns and rented his car to race so I wouldn't lose the much needed points against Anthony Sergi. I had to put phone books in the seat but I was still fastest in practice. Even though I had never drove this car before.

In the much anticipated feature race, I started 3rd but Rich Clouser was on the outside pole! On the start I was held up which allowed Clouser to get half a straight away lead. The race went green to checkered and Clouser took the win, but only by 3 car lengths!
